I've always been interested in cars, but I had my first look at an American car when I was 11 years old. I was with my Dad, walking along a road, when a slightly beaten up 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air came round a corner, and cruised off. It was beige, with a black roof. The paint was slightly faded, and there was a little hint of rust under the doors, but apart from that, it was in good shape! As it accelerated away, blue smoke drifted from the big V8's twin exhausts, leaving a sweet smell of oil/petrol in the air - lovley!
Ever since then, I have been very interested in Classic American Cars, and have learned quite a lot about them. One day in the near future, I will set to work on a website dedicated to all American cars - old and new. But first, I've made this website, about the car that started my obsession, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.
Enjoy!
